Tell anyone you’re from Llanfrothen and their eyes will light up; ‘Oh yes, Y Ring.’ Y Ring has been synonymous with Y Garreg Llanfrothen since people wore buckles on their shoes and walked animals over the mountains to market, before the Cob was built and spring tides lapped at the back steps.

To the locals the Brondanw Arms – the Ring – is a locals’ pub, but to the walkers and holidaymakers it’s their pub too, visited time and time again over the years.

Menter y Ring Cyfyngedig, a Community Benefit Society, has bought the lease of the Ring with money raised through selling shares. With the support of our 900+ Society members the Ring will once again be the beating heart of Llanfrothen, but this time on our terms.
